The hot water could be hotter!!! The cracked tub and stained mattress were disappointing, not to mention the furniture showing its age. A little more attention to cleanliness would definitely help!!!

The staff was super friendly.

Nothing bad, a typical experience for a Day's Inn. Nothing super nice or clean, but nothing dirty. Amenities very basic, mattress uncomfortable and firm...although I like a firm mattress, I could not get comfortable on this one. Again, very typical of a second tier hotel. I would stay there again for the money.

The accessible common areas made navigating the Inn easy, and the warm decor had a cozy charm that felt mad really like home. The inviting lobby always had a friendly atmosphere, which really brightened my stay.

More senior-friendly amenities would enhance the experience.

It is 100 yards from the railroad tracks. I kid you not, there were probably 13-17 trains that came thru from 10pm to 7am.

Multiple issues arose . My initial two rooms had non-functional doors. The room we settled on had an exposed pipe in the shower without a head and stained bedding. The carper was dirty, revealing unattended trash. The lack of basic amenities like towels and toiletries was a serious inconvenience.

The friendliness of the staff at this trying time for me. I was up to bury me father in Alabama. My previous visit 2 months ago in October was to bury mu mother in Alabama. Everyone was very nice and gave their sympathy to me.

I really loved how close everything was, especially the Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum just about 2 km away and the beautiful grounds near Merrehope House, made for a perfect walk.
